Hi I’m Rozzy, thanks for stopping by..
I have had a love affair with music from an early age, whether it be listening to my mum singing Shirley Bassey and the Carpenters whist doing the ironing on a Sunday, my dad playing his Led Zeppelin and Rod Stewart records or sitting outside my brothers bedroom trying my hardest to listen to blur and Oasis, seeing my first musical at 7 years old, I always knew music was what I was supposed to do, and where my heart belonged.
I have jumped in and out of music and performing ever since. I took part in lots of musicals and show until I became a teenager (and a right pain in the backside) and then, on my 13th birthday, my brother Damien brought me Alanis Morrissette’s ‘Jagged little pill’ album and I knew from that first listen that I wanted to be in a rock band! After a few good years of working as a pub manager, I moved to Surrey, went to Music College and worked as a waitress for 6 years while I tried to follow the dream with an amazing group of musicians and band called Dy-Star. We had 5 of the best years, playing all over the country, doing industry showcases and living the rock and roll dream. At college I was lucky enough to sing with Skunk Anansie and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers! I have been singing on and off in various function bands and acoustic groups ever since.
